What Threshold is
Threshold is software that lets an organization collect electronically signed non-disclosure agreements from people attending an event. Organizations create events and NDA templates; attendees sign via a link or QR code without creating an account.
The agreement is between you and the organization
When you sign an NDA through Threshold, the resulting agreement is between you and the organization that created the event — not between you and Threshold. Threshold provides the signing infrastructure; it is not a party to any NDA signed using it and is not responsible for the content, enforceability, or consequences of any agreement you sign.
Electronic signatures
By drawing a signature and checking the consent box on a signing page, you affirmatively agree that your electronic signature is intended to be legally binding, to the same extent as a handwritten signature, under applicable law (in the United States, the ESIGN Act and state UETA statutes).
Pricing and billing (for organizers)
Signing an NDA as an attendee is always free. Organizers pay as follows:
- Per event: events with up to 20 signers are free. Larger events are charged once, based on the expected number of signers, at the price shown before you pay. Payment is taken through Stripe.
- Monthly plan: a subscription that covers your events up to a stated fair-use limit of signers per month. It renews automatically each month at the price shown at signup until you cancel.
- Cancelling: you can cancel the monthly plan at any time from Manage billing in your organization settings. It takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for.
- Going over a limit: if an event collects more signatures than it was paid for, no signer is turned away. The organizer is prompted to upgrade, and is charged only the difference from what they've already paid.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Sign an agreement using someone else's name or identity
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse the signing service
- Use the service for any agreement other than what the organizer intended it for
No warranty, limitation of liability
Threshold is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Threshold and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including disputes over the content or enforceability of an NDA signed through it.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
